Snyder’s Street New Murals on Melrose From Snyder

IMG_4386

Last week Snyder visited LA and graced the streets with two huge murals. One that he was authorized to do on a garage pannel of Positive Eyes On Optometry  on Melrose and Stanley. This piece was themed for an episode of the Yahoo web series ‘Ultimate Surprises’, with one of the characters sporting a pair of glasses as a nod toward the business of the building.

The second mural stands further east down Melrose, a block up La Brea, in a zone that’s become a recent hotspot, visited by other artists such as Zombie, Earl, Word Bird, and, as of today, a new Army of One piece. For this installment Snyder used a character that has been seen a few times before, but not like this. The boy pulling a zipper reveals more than just a part of a wall. This unzipped window opens up to a world of art, a glimpse into what can exist amongst the streets if we open our eyes to it.

Check out the photos of the two new murals from Snyder below, as well as other pieces placed around LA by the artist.
